About Storm & Sand

Independent film, built by hand.

Founded2023
Based inNew York & Los Angeles

Storm & Sand is an independent film production company. We were formed in 2023 to develop and champion ambitious independent projects: films that carry a real dedication to the craft, and stories that carry a real message of human importance.

We are drawn to work that is built rather than rendered. Practical effects you can put your hand on. Writing that earns its silences as well as its scares. Filmmakers with a clear voice and the stubbornness to see it through. Through partnership, development support and production, we help those projects get made and get seen.

  • I

    Dedication to the craft

Every department matters. We back filmmakers who sweat the details, from the first draft to the final mix.

  • II

    Practical effects

Creatures, blood, fire and weather made in-camera, by hand, where the actors can react to them.

  • III

    Exceptional writing

Screenplays with real structure, real characters and something to say about being human.
